  • How long does warming up a sauna take?
    An electric-heated and wood-fired sauna need about 60 to 90 minutes.
  • What are the health benefits of using a sauna?
    Besides pleasure and relaxation using a sauna will lead to stress management, detoxification, increased metabolism and blood circulation, weight loss, pain reduction, anti-aging and skin rejuvenation, improved cardiovascular and immune function and sleep.
  • What is the minimum age to use a sauna?
    12 years and older. Children below 12 have a higher risk of dehydration and heat exhaustion.
  • Why are your barrel sauna’s made of Ayous wood?
    Ayous is thermally-treated in order to obtain a high quality finish and good sustainability and durability. This tropical timber is very suited for outdoor use. Due to its insulating effect of Ayous wood, your sauna will heat up quickly and the heat is retained longer compared to other wood types.
  • What is the sauna temperature range?
    Between 80 or 90 degrees Celsius.
  • What type of heating can be used in a sauna?
    Our sauna’s are standard equipped with an electric-heated sauna burner, but a wood-fired heating system is optional. In order to maximize your sauna therapy you can add an aromatherapy oil like eucalyptus or peppermint to your wood-fired and/or electrical sauna burner.
  • What is the difference between a traditional outdoor sauna and a barrel sauna?
    Barrel shaped sauna’s have a better heat circulation which results in faster warming up due to the authentic shape and no empty corners. This also makes a significant difference in energy/heating costs with a more constant temperature as a result.
  • How long does the delivery & installation of a sauna take?
    We custom manufacture your sauna and then we need to ship it to the Republic of Cyprus. This whole process of manufacturing and shipping usually takes up about 6 to 8 weeks.
  • What is the lifespan of a sauna?
    If you maintain your sauna well then you can enjoy your sauna easily for 30 years.
  • How often can I use a sauna?
    Studies show it is perfectly safe to use saunas every day, but to achieve optimal use of a sauna, you should use it at least once a week. The more often you use it, the more improvements you will experience. Just remember to stay hydrated during your sessions.
  • What sauna sizes are available?
    Our sauna’s are suitable for 2 to 6 persons and has a standard diameter of 2.12 meter and 2.40 meter length. The length can be extended up to 6 meter. The beds are 60 x 183 cm (w x l).
  • Do you have an extra long sauna available?
    Yes, our base model of barrel sauna’s has a diameter of 2.12 meter and is 2.40 meter long. Our barrel sauna XL unit differs from our base model due to the deletion of the frontal seating area, which results in an inside bed length increase to 223 cm (compared to 183 cm within our sauna’s that have the frontal seating area included). We can make even longer sauna's then that, but then shipping costs will increase as well besides the extra material and installation costs.
  • For whom is the cold plunge or cold tub?
    The main purpose is to provide cold water therapy for adults only. Athletes use ice baths after or before their workout, but it can also be used by non-athletes who want to do good to their bodies and enjoy the health benefits that come along with immersing yourself in cold / chilled water. It is not advised to have kids doing cold water therapy as their developing bodies make them more vulnerable to extreme conditions.
  • How long can you stay in a cold plunge or cold tub?
    Cold water plunge sessions typically start with 30 seconds to 60 seconds. A good target time for a cold plunge is 3 minutes in the cold water. Eventually you will be able to add more time, but the most important thing is to listen to your body. For complete cold plunge beginners, you can develop your tolerance by taking a quick dip (30 seconds) or regular cold showers. More experienced plunges will be able to take dips for 5 to 10 minutes at a time.
  • What temperature should my cold plunge or cold tub be?
    Ideally between 3 to 10 degrees Celsius.
  • Which health benefits will you get from a cold plunge / cold tub?
    It eases sore muscles after a workout, but it will also help you focus, sleep better and decrease inflammation. Cold exposure and immersion can trigger a psychological high, which makes you feel good once you come out of the plunge or tub.
  • What is a cold plunge?
    This is our smallest vertical styled unit that fits one person. You can dip in and sit in the tub, allowing your body to fully immerse itself to enjoy cold water therapy at the convenience of your own home.
  • What is a cold tub?
    The cold tub we offer is suitable for up to 2 persons (in sitting position). If you are on your then you can lie flat (horizontally), allowing your body to fully immerse itself to enjoy cold water therapy at the convenience of your own home.
  • What happens to your body when you use a cold plunge or hot tub?
    It reduces your core body temperature. If you have just worked yourself into sweat and take a dip in an ice bath then it is a quick way of cooling down.
  • What is the maintenance that a cold plunge or cold tub needs?
    The Thermowood on the exterior does not need any maintenance in general, but to keep the colour of the wood intact we do recommend to apply an oil-based coat once a year. The fibreglass insert does not need any maintenance except for wiping it with a clean cloth every now and then. The water itself will needs refreshing depending on usage, but with our non-Chloride Aqua Excellence liquid added every week, the water can be kept clean for up to 3 months. Drainage of the water can be easily done by opening up the tap at the bottom.
  • What is your base model within the cold plunge range?
    Our base model plunge ‘Reykjavik’ is a cold plunge where you sit vertical in the tub. This basic cold plunge does not have an electric cooling system so you can add ice cubes yourself to further cool down the water. Optionally we offer a smart® WiFi controlled cooling system which allows cooling settings all to 3 degrees Celsius.
  • What materials are used?
    The exterior of both our cold plunges and cold tubs are made of high quality Thermowood, which is extremely durable in the Cyprus climate. The insert are made in-house and are from fibreglass with multiple layers of gelcoat.
  • What does the electronic cooling system provide?
    It provides you the comfort to switch on or off your cold plunge or cold tub at any time. Besides, the water temperature can be regulated via an App. This way you don’t have to add ice cubes in the cold plunge or cold tub yourself, which will save you time and effort to prepare the unit for a dip.
  • What is the difference between a cold plunge and a cold tub?
    Our cold plunges are suitable for 1 person in an upright (vertical) sitting position. Our cold tubs can fit 2 persons in a vertical seating position or 1 person in a lying (horizontal) position.
  • What is the top-of-the-range model for the cold plunge?
    Our top model cold plunge has an electric cooling system of integrated design which is controlled by an App, allowing you to monitor and set & schedule temperatures and timing.
  • What is the difference between a hot tub, spa and Jacuzzi?
    A hot tub is a large tub of heated water above the ground and used for relaxation, hydrotherapy and/or recreation. A spa is a general term that usually refers to water therapy and has a standalone or in-ground structure that provides health treatments. A Jacuzzi is a trademarked brand name for jetted tubs and other spa equipment.
  • How to prepare your hot tub when you are away for a longer period of time?
    Turn it off and drain it completely, remove and rinse and air-dry the filters.
  • What are the benefits of using a hot tub?
    Stress relief, muscle relaxation, improved sleep, pain relief (arthritis), better cardiovascular health, improved insulin sensitivity and calorie burn.
  • What is the heating time of a wood-fired and electrical hot tub?
    1 - 1.5 hrs when they have not been preheated before.
  • What hot tub sizes are available and how many people can be accommodated?
    We offer hot tubs for 1 - 8 persons
  • What is the life span of a hot tub?
    Up to 20 years if well maintained.
  • Can I use the hot tub every day and for how long?
    You can go in a hot tub every day, but we do recommend to restrict the duration to 20 minutes per day for an optimal health result.
  • What safety measures are there for the wood fired hot tub?
    All our wood-fired hot tubs standard have a chimney protection cover, so that you are sure that no one gets burned in case they accidentally touch the chimney.
  • Can a hot tub be delivered to my first, second or higher floor?
    We need to see the location first to see if it is safe in terms of weight. Lifting costs are not included, but can be arranged.
  • What electrical requirements do I need for the electric hot tub?
    For all of our hot tubs the usual power 220 Voltage of a household is sufficient, but if you would like to preheat your tub quickly then we recommend our customers to acquire a 3 phase (6 kW) connection for optimal usage.
  • Is using a hot tub healthy?
    Spending time in a hot tub can be considered as a heat and hydrotherapy as it raises the core body temperature and improves blood flow, which results in lower blood pressure, controlling blood sugar and reducing inflammation. Besides you can lose weight and detox.
  • What type of heating can be used?
    We have wood-fired and electrical heated hot tubs.
  • For whom is a hot tub not suitable?
    Pregnant women, people with heart disease and kids under the age of 5 years old.
